I'm especially excited about going through the Bikini Series this year because it was such a game-changer for me last year. I lost a total of 5 pounds and 15 inches by the end. Yep, 15 inches! And I've never felt better. It really set the tone for how I was going to approach my daily exercise and eating routines. And the motivation from these girls is really inspiring. The first step of the Challenge is take your weight and measurements. I know, no fun. But if you don't know where you started, you won't know how far you've come in the end.
If you're like me, you don't really know the right way to take measurements. And if you don't do them right, you won't get accurate numbers. And if you're going to work hard to make changes, you sure as heck want to know what those changes really are!
Here's a video on the proper technique for measuring your body. This video suggests having a fat caliper, but let's be real; I'm not getting one of those. A tape measure and a scale will tell me all I need to know.
Here we go, Ladies! Time to sweat it out for summer!
